Week 19 PBID Question

I'm a day late with this week's question for the #PBIDchallenge because we were home for a snow day! We got a lot of snow, and now it is supposed to get windy and COLD. Temperatures are forecast to be below zero from today until Friday and could get as low -30°. Everyone in Wisconsin is going to need to dress warm, maybe like the people in this week's image.

It looks like this little girl and her Pa are yelling something, but they are not. What are they doing?

  3. The girl and her Pa are going owling. They are calling out to the owl "whooo-whoooo-who-who-who" and they want the owl to hoot back. They got a surprise when the owl not only hooted back at them, they got to see the owl! They even got to stare at the owl while the owl stared back! They didn't even know how long the owl stared at them, maybe one minute, maybe 100!

  4. They were making owl sounds to try and find an owl. This was a question that the 2nd graders got right away! It is part of unit 1 writing in second grade! :) - Mrs. Rogus' 2nd graders
